I only realized that possibility a year ago, when I decided to switch from working as a contracted full time medical writer to a freelancer.
I started my first blog in 2004 while I was still working full time, and to me it was just an online journal. Nothing more. I hardly updated my blog during those days. Hey, I was so tired of writing and taking in craps in the day time at work already, my brain preferred to take a break after work!
Only when I started to write on a freelance basis since last June - during which business was extremely slow and I had ample of free time to spare - the world of blogging truly opened up my eyes and mind. And the blogosphere has now become part of my world.
I first learned that one can earn money from just writing a blog (or many blogs!), mainly by writing paid posts, selling text link ads and via Google Adsense.
So far, I would say writing paid posts has in one way or another way helped me get through my toughest days of no income, and when my pool of savings were running out. It has allowed me to indulge myself in shopping sprees once in a while, usually after I withdrew money from PayPal.
For ad links placement, I have only managed to earn a meager sum. Google Adsense? Not even hit $20 after a year. That, I figured, has largely got to do with my blogs’ ranking, popularity and number of subscribers. For those who are running multiple, popular blogs, they could easily earn up to thousands every month. You know I’m not exaggerating, right? I’m sure you’ve seen people showing their Adsense income on the internet.

Of course, making money from the internet doesn’t limited to just these few options. Well, again, I’ve only discovered new possibilities of making money online recently, and am in the process of learning about these new ways.
I will continue to share what I learned about making money online opportunities in my next few posts.

[...] I only discovered the many money-making possibilities not too long ago. Previously I only knew how to make money blogging through two ways: writing paid posts or sponsored posts and with Google Adsense. However, these methods didn’t turn into a profit great enough for me to turn it into a full-time ‘job’. Check out what I have written about this in my earlier post “Make Money From Blogging?“. [...]
